Abammeli Bamalungelo Abantu is a network of attorneys seeking to promote the cause of human rights and freedom in Matabeleland in particular and in Zimbabwe in general. Our core team is made up of practising attorneys and student interns.
Abammeli Bamalungelo Abantu – a network of human rights lawyers established in 2011 by lawyers from Bulawayo, who identified a need to create a network of legal practictioners with an interest in human rights. We are set up as a membership organisation, with the legal status of an universitas open to lawyers and law students. In August 2011, the organisation was registered as a Trust.
Abammeli is a not for profit human rights organisation whose core objective is to protect and promote the observance of human rights in Zimbabwe.
To protect and promote the rights of citizens through litigation, human rights education, lobby and advocacy in Zimbabwe.
